S2 Industrial Portfolio—Process Piping, HVAC Installation and Shop Fabrication Services

Our project portfolio includes work performed in a wide range of industries including: Education, Healthcare, Food Processing, Renewable Energy, Pulp and Paper, Wood Products, High-Tech, Water Treatment, Petrochemical, and Power Generation. University of Oregon Campus Chilled Water Replacement-Eugene

The University of Oregon delivers Steam and Chilled Water to their campus buildings through an underground tunnel system. In 2009 the university began construction of new central steam and chilled water plants in order to meet the growing campus demand brought on by new buildings (e.g. the new Matthew Knight arena). In conjunction with the new plants, the distribution system had to be up-sized. We removed over 3000 lineal feet of 16”& 8” carbon steel chilled water piping and replaced it with new 24” and 18” piping in the 60 year old tunnel system.

Timber Ridge School – Albany

Timber Ridge School is just one of several projects in our K-12 educational sector portfolio. Installation in these facilities typically includes boilers, chillers and associated heating and chilled water piping systems. We’ve completed numerous such projects in brand new facilities as well as retrofitting existing schools with new heating and cooling systems.


University of Oregon Moss St. Tunnel – Eugene

In 2009 the University of Oregon began its East Campus expansion. This required a new tunnel system to deliver campus services from their central plant. S2 Industrial was selected by Turner Construction as mechanical contractor to install nearly 2400 feet of Chilled Water, Steam and Condensate piping in this new 600 foot long tunnel.


Sacred Heart Medical Center – Springfield

At over 1,000,000 sq.ft. and 440 patient beds, PeaceHealth’s new replacement hospital, Sacred Heart Medical Center – RiverBend, is the largest in the region. S2 Industrial provided the HVAC wet side to the building. Our skilled craftsmen installed over 25 miles of piping and set hundreds of pieces of equipment at RiverBend campus.


Riverbend Medical Pavilion – Springfield

S2 Industrial performed wet-side mechanical services (Steam, Heating, and Chilled Water) for this 5 story 151,000 SF building located at the Riverbend Campus.


Northwest Specialties Clinic – Springfield

A 5 story, 127,000 SF medical office building located in Springfield, OR. We installed steam sterilization and humidification piping as well and chilled water system piping and equipment.

Food Processing:

Kraft Foods – Portland

Since 2004, S2 Industrial has been one of a select few of qualified contractors at Kraft Foods in Portland Oregon. Some of the major projects we’ve performed include: Third Floor Trow Washer Installation, Oreo Cooling Tunnel Upgrade, and Oven 1 Widening.


Deschutes Brewery 200,000 Barrel Expansion – Bend

S2 Industrial was awarded the Utility Piping package for the brewery expansion. Systems installed by S2 Included included steam for new brew houses’ mashing process as well as glycol cooling system for the 15 new fermentation vessels.

Renewable Energy:

Waste Management-Arlington

We have performed process piping and equipment installation at 2 of Waste Management’s LFTGE (Landfill Gas to Energy) facilities in Oregon. This one consisted of (8) Caterpillar engines, stainless steel landfill gas piping, carbon steel coolant and lube oil systems, and a copper compressed air system.


Waste Management-McMinnville

We performed process piping, equipment setting, and overhead crane installation at this 6 engine facility in McMinnville, OR.


S4 Energy Solutions – Arlington

S2 Industrial performed all process piping and equipment setting at this plasma gasification facility at Waste Management’s Columbia Ridge Landfill in Arlington, Oregon. The planned facility is a comprehensive and integrated S4 designed solution that will convert municipal solid waste into clean fuels and renewable energy.
